It's time for a few new posts!!

I have been really busy and have not had much time to blog. We are all doing well. WE had a great winter skiing and being together. We are now excited for Spring! Brady has his shoulder surgery the first of March and is doing really well. We had a wonderful Easter. I love this time of year, I think it might be my favorite. Here are some pictures of what has been going on in the Cottle Clan.

Christmas!

Christmas was wonderful! Our kids were told not to come into our room until 7:00, at 7:00 Sharp they came running and screaming "its Christmas, wake up mom and dad!" (as if we were sleeping) I sleep with one eye open on Christmas eve! Anywho, Jaden had a hard time falling to sleep so finally around 12:30 I gave him some NyQuil.(for his "cough" wink, wink) Santa was very kind. Crew had asked for a red sweat shirt for two years in a row now, so he finally brought it. He was so happy, he would have been fine with just that! Mitch got a new snowboard which he has used many times already. Jaden got a p.s.p. which he was very excited about also. Kate got a camera and was taking every ones picture. We have had so much fun going skiing, to movies and hanging out. For New Years, we went to a friends house and ate and played games, then we came home and rang in the new year. Our kids bang pots and pans outside and scream at the top of their lungs. (Our poor neighbors!) Mitch and Jaden stayed up ALL night until 6:00! Kate made it until 3:00. Crew didn't make it to ring in the new year! It was very fun. I am excited for the New Year and excited to see what kind of "change" will happen this year.

It's about time I know! Here are a few up dates!

Thanksgiving we traveled down to Utah to visit family. We had a great time visiting, eating, shopping, eating, shopping, eating,...ect. We had Thanksgiving dinner with Bradys side this year. It was soo fun to see everyone and visit with them. I can't believe how big every ones kids are getting! It was fun to be with family, we don't realize how much we miss them until we are there. Utah is getting soo busy, we don't miss that at all. We are just so thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful family! These pictures are of the Cottles! Crazy people! ;)

Halloween

We love Halloween at the Cottle house. Although I am ashamed to admit, we did not take a picture of Brady and I in our Halloween costumes! I don't know how that happened! We went to a Halloween party and Brady was Nacho Libre and I was his girlfriend, the Nun. It was really funny, you will all just have to imagine it. Anywho, the kids had a great time. The weather was absolutely wonderful. So warm and light for what seemed like hours. Mitch wanted to go as a girl this year, so we figured what the heck, his dad was Cher a few years ago. Jaden was something like Joe dirt with tattoos, Kate was a vampire and Crew was a wolverine. They had a blast, but the thing that they were most excited about was the "Switch Witch." They got to put as much of their favorite candy in a sandwich size baggie, then the rest went in their pillow case (i made them all Halloween pillow cases the first of Oct. Shocking I know!) Then they placed them on the porch for the Switch Witch to come and switch their candy with something else. The first thing they did when they got up was run to the door and see what she left them. Jaden got a football, Kate got a webkin, Crew also got a football. They were so happy and so was mom and dad! It was a great Halloween, bring on the Holidays!!

Mitchell turns 13!!

I can't believe I have a teenager!! On Oct. 30 Mitchell turned the big 13! We had a great time celebrating his birthday. We went miniature golfing at a glow in the dark place that night. I told him we could go out to eat where ever he wanted, but he insisted I make his favorite meal. I really wanted to go out to eat if you moms know what I mean! Anywho, we ate went and played golf and came home to watch the Outsiders. Yes, it's that old movie with all the cute actors in it. He had read this book in a class of his and wanted to see the movie. We had a great night. We are so blessed to have him in our home. He is such a good example to Brady and I and his younger siblings. He is so fun to around and talk to. He has a contagious laugh and a sparkle in his eye when he smiles or does something mischievous. I can't believe he is growing up so fast! We love you Mitch!

Perfect Day for the Pumpkin Patch!

Today was Crews field trip to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We got to go on a hay ride all around the whole farm. We saw all kinds of animals, even a zebra! Then he got to go and find the "perfect" pumpkin. After we searched the whole pumpkin patch, we finally found just the right one! Then he got to go and run through a maze made out of hay. It is such a cute fun place to go. They serve donuts and hot chocolate. It's hard to believe this is the last time I will go to the pumpkin patch with a preschooler! I am having so much fun with Crew. I can't stop kissing him and loving on him! Sometimes I think I might chip a tooth when I am hugging him because I want to squeeze him so tight! I L-O-V-E being a mom!!
